**Extended Day program begins Monday, August 13, 2007**
What is Extended-Day?
(1) After school care for East Elementary Students in a safe, educational environment.
(2) Each day your child/children come to Extended-Day we will have:
(3) Homework/Reading time (30 minutes). We do provide assistance. (We depend on your child to let us know he/she has homework and to bring AR books to read each day if they complete homework assignments.)
(4)Structured playtime, arts and crafts, or independent recreation.
Extended-Day hours are:
Monday through Friday- 2:55 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on regularly scheduled full days of school.
** YOUR CHILD MUST BE PICKED UP NO LATER THAN 5:30!
Registration and Fees:
Any East Elementary student can register and attend the Extended-Day program.
A parent or guardian must fill out a registration form for each child.
There is a yearly, non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 which is due at time of registration.
Cost for attendance is: $6.00 per day/$5.00 per day for each additional child in family. Your child/children can attend part-time or full-time
Safety/Discipline:
The school safety plan, discipline policy and student handbook will provide the guidelines that will be enforced during Extended-Day.
***************************IMPORTANT***************************
**Your child can be terminated from our program for non-payment of attendance charges, late pick-up or continued disruptive behavior.
If your child becomes ill or is injured, we will notify you or a contact person, if necessary. We will seek prompt and appropriate medical attention as needed.
