Welcome to a new school year at East Elementary! Cats for Christ has begun! It was great to see so many new and familiar faces last Tuesday morning! Parents…we enjoyed meeting many of you at Open House and our first meeting. Everyone including all students, parents, teachers, and staff are invited to join us each Tuesday morning before school as we come together to praise and worship Jesus Christ.

Our goal for Cats for Christ is to help instill a hunger for God and to encourage students to stand firm in their faith. If you have not yet been a part of Cats for Christ, we encourage you to “Join God’s Team with CFC” this year!

For the benefit of our new students and as a reminder to us all, there is at least one copy of The Adventure Bible (NIV) in each classroom and several available for check out in the media center. Students can earn AR points for reading books of the Bible. The reading level of the books range from 4 th through 7 th grade. Bible story books written at a lower reading level and a Spanish edition of The Adventure Bible are also available in the media center. *See you at the Pole 2007 will be hosted on Wednesday, September 26 th. Everyone is invited to meet at the school’s flagpole at 7:15am for a special prayer time.
